About

About NutritionFacts

NutritionFacts is a collection of plain-language guides on everyday food and supplement questions, written for people who want clearer nutrition choices and fewer fad-diet traps. The site is small and still growing, and each category currently holds only a few guides.

Each article starts from a specific question, such as how much protein you need or whether a multivitamin is worth taking, and answers it first before adding detail and context.

NutritionFacts is a research-based reference: guides are written from published guidance and checked against it, not from personal testing or clinical practice, and the site does not claim professional credentials. See how we check our advice. There are also free tools and checklists.

How to read the guides

The guides are general educational information, not medical advice, and they cannot diagnose or treat anything. Nutritional needs differ with age, health conditions, medications, pregnancy and allergies, so use the articles to understand the topic, then talk to a qualified clinician or dietitian about your own situation, especially before changing your diet or starting a supplement. In an emergency, call local emergency services (911 in the US).
